NaPoWriMo Poem #5

NaPoMoKu

Words rip the Spring sky
in two, kamikaze style:
thirty poems, thirty days.

*****************************

For this poem I used the NaPoWriMo prompt:

Try writing a poem that responds to or riffs off of one of someone else’s NaPoWriMo poems. [The Monday, April 4 post from the blog Don’t Let the Words Die in You talked about the nature of the NaPoWriMo challenge, and indeed the writing of any poem, so this is sort of a riff on that.]

(This poem and all poems posted during April 2011 are included in the free ebook, “30 Poems, 30 Days: Inside a Poet’s Mind.”)

  1. WOW I’M HONOURED YOU USED MY POEM AS A PROMPT O:
You carried my thoughts in a different (albeit completely agreed upon) direction and I think that’s really cool. The feeling of it still aligns. It’s good.

  2. Gentle strength here.

  3. nice! your thirty days will be quite productive if this keeps up!

    • I’m so glad you stopped by, Brent! I was worried this would be too much like work, but between you and me, being productive shouldn’t be this much fun! ❤

  4. Loved this one! kamikaze style for sure!

  5. The muse is working overtime…keeping those creative juices flowing!

  6. Getting better n better!!!!! I like your flow of words…

  7. @Debra Gonna try! @gurl Muah! 🙂
