Poetry and personal blog – Spilling my guts to strangers

nothing left

there is
nothing left
in words
to say
what i feel
when I am
with

you
the light of day
a jewel in my eye
perpetual motion
electricity and hellfire
lacerating cold
blinding romance
love and wizardry

together
naked
comedy and insanity
touched and breathed upon
game and seduction
beautiful

myself
a genius
an utter fool
a ruthless siren
weak to your desires
fulfilling your every desire

just a kiss away
tremors deep and lovely
dark and flowing rivers
thankfulness

the allure of dreams
the danger of fantasy
the pain of reality
the vivid night
smoky skies
is what i

feel
when i am
with you
there is
nothing left
to say
in words

  2. Oh Sweepy! That is how it feels exactly. In every syllable this poem is a window onto “it”.

I love you so much Sweepy.

  3. Hi SJ. This is stunnning. There are a host of powerful images in this poem–

    you
    the light of day
    a jewel in my eye
    perpetual motion
    electricity and hellfire
    lacerating cold
    blinding romance
    love and wizardry

    — “a jewel in my eye”– fabulous.

I love the gathering in with language, the risks you take, the juxtapositiion of electricity and hellfire, love and wizardry. Brava!!!! xxxj
